Unfortunately, whenever someone approached him, afraid of humans, he would escape. He never imagined for a minute that they wanted to help him.
And for good reason, Crumb once lived with a family but as soon as he fell ill, they threw him out. The poor dog actually had mange which caused him to lose all of his coat.
Crumb’s daily life then amounted to wandering among the garbage. At least, until this meeting which will change everything. One day, a man managed to catch Crumb and immediately handed him over to Sidewalk Specials. The volunteers took him to the vet who performed several examinations.
The toll is quite frightening: Crumb has several broken teeth and four that need to be pulled out – poor doggie ate pebbles for food – venereal cancer, fever from a tick bite, scabies and double ear infections .
A resurrection and a reborn hope
Despite everything, after a month of treatment and living with a foster family, her skin scab is no longer contagious and her cancer is responding well to chemotherapy. Crumb has also learned to walk on a leash and has become a perfect house dog. The other good news is that he is no longer afraid of humans and even gets along well with other dogs. All that remains is to wish him to quickly find a loving family who will welcome him and take care of him forever.
