The story of Nuts
It all started last July. Nuts is then a three month old puppy offered for adoption. Quickly, several people proposed and the Nuts family was chosen. She will travel many kilometers to come and collect it, as a token of seriousness and commitment . Especially since Nuts is deaf, and will therefore need a little more time to adapt.
In October 2017, Nuts passed a battery of exams and was declared in perfect health. But then, the association SOS Animals in Distress – Animal Protection has no more news from him … As is done regularly, a check is made and it is there that the members of SOS Animaux in Distress – Animal Protection find out with sadness and anger that Nuts was euthanized in January. It is shock and incomprehension.
A very cruel euthanasia
SOS Animals in Distress – Animal Protection then inquires about the situation and it is there that the members of the association discover that the puppy was euthanized because he was a little abrupt during a walk and made fall his mistress . The latter then had a few cracked ribs and decided that her puppy did not deserve to live because of it.
Not only is this death cruel, but it is also totally absurd since it is clearly indicated in the adoption contract that in the event of a problem, the dog can be handed over to the association which will take care of it. It was therefore absolutely not necessary to get there and kill a still crazy puppy who had everything to discover and learn …
Following this euthanasia, SOS Animals in Distress – Protection Animale launched a petition and initiated legal action.
