A terrible truth
It wasn’t until a little later that animal control officers discovered the terrible truth. Peanut was injected with cocaine. A “joke” made by neighborhood children.
In order to save the dog’s life and get him back on his feet, the vet had to completely remove all traces of the drug from his body. Once done, Peanut regained her energy and smile.
Because her story has traveled the web, Peanut then quickly found a family for life and for a fresh start. She moved to a Delaware family where she is very happy today.
