An incredible metamorphosis that will mark you forever.
In September 2016, groomers Candice Skelton and Jessica Kincheloe are invited to a farm to help a dog in the Pyrenees mountains completely neglected for long months by its owner in the terminal phase of a serious illness.
Aged about 6 or 7 years, the dog – named Lazarus – was then in a deplorable state, living in its excrement. As the situation could no longer last, the groomers asked the owner if they could take the dog with them to take care of it. The latter agreed.
A new start for Lazarus
Once in the expert hands of Candice Skelton and Jessica Kincheloe, Lazarus was nervous and agitated. But after a few minutes, everything went back to normal and the dog allowed himself to be done, probably aware that his situation could not last.
The grooming then started and Candice Skelton and Jessica Kincheloe removed no less than 16 kilos of hair! After getting rid of all of this hair, Lazarus started to feel better in its paws. It was time for him to find a new home and a family to start a new, well-deserved life.
Say Hi to Lazarus, joining BFDR tomorrow and Casa De Lindsey short term for some vaccines. Huge shoutout to Rachel…
Lazarus is now a playful dog who trusts human beings and has nothing to fear about his future. A happy doggie who can forget about the long years of neglect and decided to trust him again.
And the least we can say is that it is completely unrecognizable.
