At the vet, Belynda has her fears confirmed: Shady’s stomach is full of stones and he needs to be operated on quickly. In the end, no less than 61 stones will be removed from the belly of the doggie.
Back on his feet, Shady must now be watched like milk on fire to ensure that he does not start ingesting stones again, which is far from rare according to the vet. Belynda decided to increase the amount of food a little to discourage the dog from continuing his silliness.
While waiting to find his family for life, Shady enjoys his life as a foster family, hopefully staying away from rocks!
