This lady could not afford the shelter to collect her dog.

Jessica Jade, the operations manager at Santa Rosa County Animal Services shared a post on Facebook in which she tells the Glock story. He is an adorable dog who suffers from deafness.

The pooch had been at the shelter for over two weeks when his owner suddenly came to the shelter to pick him up.

The lady bursts into tears

She begged the shelter to let her pick up her dog and told them she didn’t have the money to pay the outing fee. She was devastated and Jessica found it hard to see her in this state.

Jessica said that after completing a few formalities, they were able to ensure that Glock leaves with his mother, without applying the costs of “exit”.

Glock was hopping around his mistress and he was clearly happy to see her. His mistress was crying and hugging him.

Members of the shelter gave him dog food and a voucher to neuter Glock. His mistress was very grateful for this gesture. She said she also had kittens at home so the shelter gave her vouchers to have them sterilized as well.

More flexibility for teachers who come to the refuge

The shelter said in its Facebook post that Glock was not a dog in need of rescue, but in need of a return to his loving home.

Exit fees and strict shelter rules sometimes prevent animals from finding their homes, which in turn clutters shelters unnecessarily.

Shelters should be able to remain flexible and ensure that there are as many positive exits as possible, ensuring that animals can return to their families.

Jessica’s post has already garnered more than 13,000 reactions and 10,000 shares on the platform. Jessica said she and her team were very grateful for all of the sharing and showing of support.

This is Glock. This sweet deaf pup was at the shelter for almost two weeks. Today a woman walks in the door holding some…
