There are few things more ʜᴇᴀʀᴛʙʀᴇᴀᴋɪɴɢ than seeing a child living on the streets. Sadly, it’s more common than most people realize. Photographer Maria Kabs noticed a little boy named Rommel Quemenales living on the streets of Quezon City in the Philippines and decided to take some photos of him to share on her Facebook page.
Boy Rommel Quemenales (11 years old), living in Quezon City in the Philippines has had to live away from his parents since childhood. Although he has an older sister who lives in another city, because he could not afford to go there, the boy had to live on the streets begging for food when he only finished 2nd grade. Because he had to leave school too early, Rommel always wanted to one day he will be able to go to school again. However, that seemed like a far-fetched dream for him.
