Poor little Chihuahua lived in absolutely terrible conditions …

For nine years, Trip remained locked in a cage with other dogs in an intensive breeding where his only role was to reproduce. The poor doggie who has only three legs had no hope for the future …

A necessary rescue

Trip and other dogs were recently removed from the puppy mill by the National Mill Dog Rescue . The mutts were placed in a van and driven to one of the association’s facilities in Colorado. There, the little Chihuahua was finally able to enjoy well-deserved comfort : regular meals, love galore and even a cozy bed to rest. Better yet, Trip was able to take advantage of the outdoors to stretch his legs.

Trip was also entitled to a complete check-up : teeth cleaning and removal of excessively damaged teeth, toilet and sterilization.

Freedom Gardens

Trip, our three-legged Chihuahua, got a sneak peek at Freedom Gardens. It's our new outdoor haven for the dogs we rescue. Freedom Gardens will be dedicated tomorrow (Thursday). We would like to thank EVERYONE who made this dream a reality!(Trip was a little groggy at first because he was neutered and had some teeth pulled. This precious guy will be going to his forever home in North Carolina soon!)

A beautiful adoption

After seeing other doggies get adopted, Trip finally had the pleasure of meeting his family for life shortly before Halloween . He now enjoys every day this new chance just for him, all the love we give him and the comfort of this new beginning.

Hola, everyone! Trip here! I am one of the three amigos in my new home. It’s all bueno and I am over the moon to be…

Today, it is the joie de vivre that can be read in Trip’s eyes, and that is heartwarming.
