A man takes a selfie with a Pitbull. A few hours later, the police knock on his door

An illegal adoption

It turns out that one of Dan’s Facebook friends reported to police that the adopted dog was a Pitbull. The only problem: this breed is banned in the city where Dan resides.

Dan was surprised because the adoption papers showed Diggy to be an American Bulldog, but the police still decided that the man should return the dog.

The musician, however, did not give up easily. He hired a lawyer and promised his four-legged friend that he would do anything to keep him at home. Residents of Waterford have also started to sign a petition to lift the ban on owning a Pitbull. After 3 months of fighting in court, authorities ruled that Dan illegally owned the Pitbull. Meanwhile, the petition had already been signed by more than 100,000 people.

Over the weeks, Dan hasn’t given up. Eventually, after much debate, city officials decided to put the case on hold, which meant Diggy could stay home forever. Today, he is the happiest doggie.
