A situation that could be much worse than that initially envisaged by the volunteers. What if the worst had happened?
A few days ago, the staff of the Ontario Feral Cat Project in Oregon had a nasty surprise when they arrived at work.
9 cats abandoned in a cage
In front of the shelter door was a cage containing no less than 9 cats. They were all left there, like common waste. Quickly, all the cats were recovered in order to place them in safety and to ensure their good health. Surprisingly, these cats were all particularly friendly and affectionate despite the stress they had just experienced.
Among the cats, the shelter counted 7 males and two females. None of the cats are tagged, and they are not neutered. The shelter has set up a fund to be able to take good care of these cats who all seem to be doing pretty well.
But one question really worries the volunteers of the shelter… A question that could change everything.
